An almost hectare-sized southern-facing promontory surrounded by pure tranquility. Here, the soul truly finds rest and the mind calms down. The Kaskela wilderness cabin is a getaway from everyday rush, yet within a reasonable distance from Joensuu and Kuopio. A well-maintained road leads to the property through beautiful and uninhabited forested areas.

Kaskela includes a spacious and bright main building made of round logs, completed in 2001. The floor plan allows for accommodation of a larger group, and the spaces can be adapted to personal needs. The spacious and high living room features a sturdy vulcanite stone fireplace, and from the windows, there is a beautiful view of the forest and lake.

Additionally, the property includes a separate sauna building. The sauna is spacious, with water pumped from the lake. The sauna building also has a smoke sauna and a glazed terrace. The log shed provides storage for sauna and firewood, protected from the weather.

Lake Vaikkojärvi is a remote forest lake, and the surrounding nature is nearly untouched wilderness. Mushroom and berry picking areas extend over large areas around the cottage. Enjoying nature through outdoor activities, fishing, and hunting is possible year-round.
