Atmospheric heritage house for leisure

This 100-year-old red log torpa is located in the village of Ilola, Sikilä, Porvoo, less than an hour's drive from Helsinki. The property is sold as a second home, but it is winter habitable and can also be recorded as a permanent residence.

Renovated interiors

The croft was renovated five years ago, the interior does not require renovation. The atmospheric main room and chamber exude traditional warmth. The croft has both wood heating and an air heat pump. In the chamber you can fall asleep in the heat of the toilet oven and eat breakfast in the fireplace, looking out of the pane window at the 100-year-old red cinnamon wood of the yard. The atmosphere is fabulous.

Ready-made technical solutions and opportunities

The municipal water connection has already been brought to the plot and the water flows to the new sauna building and the place of the pre-made courtyard kitchen. Both the sewer and the water pipes are drawn under the porch, so if desired, you can add indoor water. The greywater system has already been implemented and supports year-round use.

Courtyard

The 3000 m² plot offers space, peace and opportunities: fruit trees, berry bushes and a non-toxic vegetable garden for a more self-sufficient life. The courtyard has a pre-made base for a summer kitchen, and a separate sauna and a large terrace provide the perfect place to relax. Storage space and tools for the care and maintenance of the garden can be found in the outbuildings and the courtyard has both a source-based irrigation well and a small pond enriching the ecosystem. There are still building rights left on the property.
